Dorothy Mae Johnson, 89, Central, died Tuesday, December 14, 2004, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon. A native of Harrison County, born October 22, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Ollie & Millie Jane Froman Paris. She was a retired parachute inspector for Quartermaster Depot in Jeffersonville, an apartment manager at Fort Knox, KY, and a member of Royal Neighbors of America and Bethel United Methodist Church in Central. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Louis Lowe Sr. Survivors include two daughters, Mary J. Basham of Mauckport and Elnora A. Gibbs of Virginia Beach, VA; two sisters, Norma Carver of Clarksville and Mabel Melton of Corydon; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral: Saturday, December 18, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in New Amsterdam Cemetery. Officiant: The Rev. Douglas Finney. Pallbearers: Lawrence Weatherly, Anthony and Joey Chandler, Charles Tindall Sr., Charles Tindall Jr., Gerald Jacobs and Richard Best.
