Big Spring Herald, July 29, 1932:
"Eta Faye Black, 26, wife of Glenn A. Black, died in a local hospital at 5 p.m. Thursday and was to be buried at Midland following funeral services at the Charles Eberly chapel here at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Black is survived by her husband; Bobby Crossland, a son by a former marriage and by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Palmer of Bledsoe, Texas. She was an only child.
Rev. Calhoun, Methodist minister of Midland, assisted by Rev. J. Richard Spann of the First Methodist church here, conducted the funeral services.
Pallbearers were Printiss Brown, J.P. Brown, W. T. Dubois, F. L. Tubbs, Fred King and Mr. Shuman.
Mr. Black's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Black of Midland and his brothers, Ed B. and Ben Black of Midland, his sisters, Mrs. Albert Norris of Snyder and Miss Doris Black of Midland, were here for the services. A brother, Joe Black of New York City and a sister, Mrs. Alice Davis of California, were unable to be here.
Mr. and Mrs. Black moved here June 15 from Midland, were they were married last March."
Additional notes: Eta Fay married Robert Lee Crossland in 1922 in Palo Pinto Co Texas and later divorced. They had one child, Bob M Crossland. Her death was a result of hemorrhaging during a tonsillectomy
