Died, at his home in Jacksonville, Monday, Feb. 21, 1898, Henry J. Palmer. The deceased resided in this city many years ago, and is the eldest son of William Palmer of Elgin. The remains arrived in this city yesterday morning and the funeral services will be conducted at Oak Ridge cemetery this morning. IL State Register, Springfield, IL 2-23-1898

Henry is buried in the Palmer plot; only Walter has a stone in this plot.
