John Pack – Born May 20, 1805, New Brunswick, Dominion of Canada. Died Apr. 4, 1885. Baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Mar. 8, 1836. Appointed Senior President of the 8th Quorum of Seventy Oct. 8, 1844 at Nauvoo, Ill. Commissioned Mayor in Nauvoo Legion Oct. 28, 1844 by Governor Ford of Illinois. He was a Captain of Fifty in the Utah Pioneer Band. Entered Salt Lake Valley July 22, 1847. Assisted Pres. John Taylor in opening the French Mission 1849-52. Performed four other Missions. He was the Father of forty three children.
