Joyce Meadows of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at Westview Manor Nursing Home. Born on July 25, 1924, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Charles and Gladys (King) Owens. She married Harvie Meadows, and he died on August 10, 2000.

Surviving are three sons: Ronald Meadows of Greenfield, IN, Phillip Meadows of Lansing, MI, and Kenneth Meadows of Green Cove Springs, FL; one sister, Norma Thomas of Bedford, IN; one brother, Charles "Junior) Owens of Bedford, IN; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, William Owens.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Services for Joyce Meadows will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Jon Lineback officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
