WINCHESTER - Georgianna S. Overman, 92, of Winchester went to be with her Lord and Savior and her loving husband Donald L. Overman on November 19, 2012.
She had lived at the Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Center for six years. She was born on March 4, 1920 in Randolph County, IN and was the daughter of the late Dorrance D. and Mabel Christine (Spille) Stearns.
She had worked in the Randolph County Extension Clerk's Office, the Ohio Valley Gas Company, and Donalee's Mercantile for six years. She was a member and Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church, a member of the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority, Randolph County Hospital Auxiliary, a member of the Historical Society, and the Randolph County Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother Dorrance D. Stearns Jr.
Surviving relatives include her two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Anne) Fowble of Auburn, IN and Mrs. Jack (Donalee) Welch, of Winchester, IN. and one brother, Keith Stearns, wife, Joyce of Union City, IN; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott Welch, Amy Bullan, Christopher Welch, (wife, Gale), Ryan Lee Welch, (wife, Lisa), Cama Foland, (husband, Todd), Jena Fowble, Julia Gilliland, (husband, Jason), and Amanda Moring, (husband, Joe)l; eight great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 24, at the Thayer Funeral Home in Winchester, IN with the Rev. Cherie Isakson officiating. Burial will be in the Fountain Park Cemetery.
Friends of the family may from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the time of the service.
