Gabriel Robles Oton, 80 of Superior, passed away Thursday, February 14 in Tempe. He was born September 11, 1927 in Bisbee, Arizona to Gabriel and Rita Robles Oton.

A miner, he worked for Magma Copper Company for 43 years before his retirement. During World War II he served in the United States Army. An active member of the local VFW he also served for many years as a member of the Volounteer Fire Department. He enjoyed sports of all kinds. He loved to play pool and was an excellent player, always teh winner of the annual family pool tournament.

He will be remembered for his favorite saying, "No problem".

Survivors include his son Gabriel Oton, Jr. of Chandler, daughters Gloria (Michael Taylor)Martinez of Chandler, Virginia "Susie" (David Villapando) Munoz of California, Macella Oton of Superior; sisters, Sarah Velasco of Benson, Mitcha Gurrero of Globe, Mary Stoermer of West Covina, California, Virgie Lopez of Globe; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The Rosary was held Tuesday morning at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Superior, followed by Father Francis Iber celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery in Superior. The family was assisted by Superior Funeral Home.
