Mrs. Augusta Osos, widow of the late Andrew Oses, died at 2:35 o'clock this morning at her home, 1007 Manhatten street, following an illess extending over a period of a year, as the result of disease complications. She was born in Germany, Sept. 16, 1856, and came to America a half a century ago.
Several years after coming to Michigan City she was united in marriage to Andrew Osos who departed this life four years ago. Surviving are four sons, Anton Osos, Chicago; John Osos, Kalamazon, Mich. and George and Joseph Osos of this city, and two daughters, Mrs. George K. Phills of Chicago, and Mrs. Everett F. Eddy of this city. Another son, Clement F. Osos, was one of the first Michigan City boys to make the supreme sancrifice in the world war. He was burind in this city.
Mrs. Osos is also survived by four brothers, William Blessing, of this city and August Blessing of Kalamazoo, Mich.; Michael Blessing of Cheney, Neb. and John Blessing of Bellvue, Ohio and six grandchildren. Mrs. Osos suffered much during her last illness, and bore her suffering with great fortitude and resignation. She was devoted to her family and her passing will be keenly regretted not only by members of her immediate family but by a host of friends.
She was a charter member of Madonna Court, Woman's Catholic Oder of Foresters, and of the Rosary Confraternity of St. Mary's church. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's church on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock and interment will be in Calvary cemetery.
Friends may view the remains at any time after Sunday noon.
