Aaron Gene Oliver died while surrounded by his loved ones on May 4th, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA.

Aaron was born on April 25th, 2006 and was a lifelong resident of Statesboro, GA. He attended Mill Creek Elementary School as a student in Jill Williams' first grade classroom. He loved attending school, reading and playing with his friends. Aaron displayed a level of kindness and compassion for others that was far beyond his eight years. He was always willing to help others when needed and was a friend to all who knew him. Earlier this year, Aaron had the opportunity to be a fireman at the Statesboro Fire Department for a day. This was his ambition as an adult, to be a firefighter. The Statesboro Fire Department made Aaron an honorary and will retire his badge number when he is laid to rest. Statesboro Fire Department firefighters will serve as pallbearers.

Aaron leaves behind family members and friends who adored him to cherish his memory. He is survived by his father, Buddy Oliver of Statesboro; his Nanny and Papa, Sandra and Eugene English of Statesboro; a younger brother, Colbey Oliver of Statesboro; his aunt and uncle, Tonya Oliver and Michael Deal of Statesboro and his cousin, Holden Deal.

Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00PM Wednesday, May 7, in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 4:00PM Wednesday, May 7 in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society-Georgia Chapter, 3715 Northside Parkway, Building 4, Atlanta, GA 30327.
