She attended Baker High school and graduated from Frankfurt American High School in Germany in 1959. While in Germany, she met her husband, Ted. Upon returning to the United States, they married in Fort Campbell, Kentucky on May 27, 1961 and then moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Brandenburg moved to Columbus, Georgia in 1969. Mrs. Brandenburg worked for ACE Hardware on Floyd Road, Columbus Chamber of Commerce and retired from TSYS in 2004 after 15 years.
