Oehler, Albin F. 96, died Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Beloved husband of Jeanne (nee Tomich) Oehler (deceased); loving father of Carol Oehler (Jon Carlock), Alan (Barbara) Oehler, William (Debra) Oehler and Gene (Rita) Oehler; beloved grandfather of Paul and Tim Carlock, Michael and Matthew Oehler, Heidi and Gabriel Oehler, Lauren (Troy) Flynn, Jennifer (RJ) Fittipaldi, and Ashly Oehler; beloved great-grandfather of Harper Olivia Flynn, Grayson Robert Fittipaldi and Charlie Elizabeth Fittipaldi; beloved brother, uncle, cousin, special friend to Shirley, and a dear friend to many from his lifetime in South St. Louis, his retirement in Arizona, his return to St. Louis and his years at Orchid Terrace. Albin worked over 48 years at South Side National Bank, retiring as Vice President in 1985. Albin was a proud American, enlisting in the Navy and served on the USS Chatham (AK-169) in the Pacific during WWII. Throughout his life, Al served his country and the community as: National Past Commander of the American Legion, Past Commander of American Legion Quentin Roosevelt Post #1, Chef de Gare passé Voiture Locale 38 of the 40 et 8, Grande Chef de Gare passé du Missouri, Past President of the St. Louis Past Commander's Club, South Side Lions Club, South Side Optimists Club, American Legion and VFW Posts. Services: Visitation will be at KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, St. Louis, MO 63123 on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with 11th and 12th District Guard of Honor Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 5020 Rhodes Ave., St. Louis, MO at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015. Interment immediately following at Sunset Burial Park.
