Edward was the son of William P. and Minnie G. Cunningham Obenland. He was born in about 1927. He had an older brother, William Jr., born on 1924.
Unfortunately, Edward died in 1934, when he was only 7 years old. The Chester Times of Jun. 25, 1934, carried a mention of his death. "Edward Obenland, 7, of Philadelphia, drowned in Mermaid Lake, a swimming pool near Norristown."
He was buried on June 28, 1934 in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Later, his mother and father would join him there.
