David Paul Grygiel, 44 and his wife, Rosemary (nee O'Brien) Grygiel, 39 of 7 Lakeview Drive, Lansing, New York, died suddenly on Sunday afternoon, October 17, 2004 in Baltimore, Maryland. They died from injuries sustained in a motorcyle accident. David was born September 12, 1960 in Syracuse, New York, son of Eloise Hunter of Lansing, NY and the late William Grygiel, Jr. He was employed as a Pilot for Airborne Express based in Wilmington, Ohio. Rosemary was born February 8, 1965 in Daytona Beach, Florida, daughter of Daniel O'Brien of Daytona Beach Florida and Rosemary (nee Gerster) Sanders of Tillsonburg, Ontario. She was the manager of The Boatyard Grill, Ithaca, NY. They are both survived by their children, Demick O'Brien, a student at Syracuse University, Kayla and Alyson Grygiel of Lansing. In addition to his mother and children, David is survived by a brother, William (Liana) Grygiel, III of Baldwinsville, NY; a sister, Dawn (William) Tsetseranos of West Dover, VT; his paternal grandfather, William Grygiel, Sr.; several aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her parents and children, Rosemary is survived by her brother Michael O'Brien of Dayton Beach, FL; sister, Charlotte O'Brien (Chris Tzanakos of Cockeysville, MD; paternal grandmother, Vaughn O'Brien; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, 11:30 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena R. C. Church, 302 St. Catherines Circle, Ithaca, NY. Rev. Scott Kubinski will officiate. Rosemary will be cremated on Thursday afternoon and will be buried with her husband in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lansing on Friday morning. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at The Lansing Funeral Home, Inc., 32 Auburn Road, Lansing today, between the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Contributions in memory of Rosemary and David may be directed to a trust, established for the benefit of their children, C/O - Mr. Rich Dolge, Tompkins Trust Company, The Commons, Ithaca, NY 14850.
