Irene K. Langerud, 89, of 257 Maple St., died Wednesday at Beloit Memorial Hospital from an apparent heart attack.
She was born on April 10, 1888, in Clayton, Iowa, the daughter of Harvey and Becky Vogelson Northrup.
She was a resident of Beloit for 30 years after moving from rural Richland Center. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Beloit.
Survivors include a daughter, Violet (Mrs. Mahlon) Brown of Beloit; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ray Cousins of Elcader, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Virginia Foschel of Arlington, Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Hansen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Andrew Hegre officiating. Burial will be in the Rockton Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Hansen Funeral Home.
