Isabelle McGee "Mut" Northern, a resident and native of Port Allen, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at 11:20 a.m. at her home at age 76.
Visiting at Hall Davis and Son of Port Allen. Visiting at Shiloh Baptist Church, Port Allen, until religious service, conducted by the Rev. Willie Richard. Interment in Lady of Knight Cemetery in Port Allen.
Survived by six daughters and three sons-in-law, Claudette and Milton Payne, Lucy and Acie W. Russell, Renee and Michael Cain, Alenthea Northern, Nisha Northern and Trencia Henderson; two sons, William Northern Jr. and Perry Northern; sister, Erma Lee Northern; brother, Jeff Solomon Jr.; 26 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by her husband, William Northern Sr.; son, Kelvin B. Northern; daughter, Stephany G. Northern; mother, Lucy Murphy Solomon; father, William McGee; sister, Leona Stewart; and brother, Forrest Solomon.
She enjoyed cooking, fishing and crocheting.
