Virginia (Furtado) Northup, age 83, passed away at Briarcliff Manor, Johnston, on August 16, 2007. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Mancebo) Furtado.
Virginia worked for the former DiZoglio Paper of Cranston for 15 years until her retirement. She also worked for Union Tool and the Outlet Department Stores.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Northup, and her siblings, Helen Belanger, Mary Piccirillo, Manuel and Joaquim Furtado; and is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston
