She married Edwin Lee Norris on 19 April 1892 in Bowling Green; he was a lawyer by profession. They moved to Dillon, Montana where they were involved in community and political affairs. He served as State Senator from Beaverhead County and was elected to serve as the fourth Governor of Montana.
In later years Bettie Wilkins Norris moved to Hopkinsville, Kentucky to reside with her sister, Lulie Wilkins McPherson. She died in Hopkinsville with burial in New Highland Cemetery, Great Falls, Montana at the side of her husband.
