BIDDEFORD - Fernande R Boucher, 86, died Saturday at Southern Maine Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in Biddeford on January 24, 1924 [sic], a daughter of Alfred and Eva Bellerose Nolette. She was educated in local schools. On April 20, 1940, she married Roland Boucher in St Joseph's Church. She worked several years in area shoe shops. She volunteered 30 years with St Vincent de Paul Society of St Joseph's Church and several years with St Joseph School Lunch Program and St Joseph School Art Program. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing for church fairs, her family and friends. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus and St Joseph Church. She was preceded in death by: one son Michael J Boucher in 2004. She is survived by: her husband of 67 years, Roland Boucher of Biddeford, one daughter, Claudette Delorge of Biddeford; one brother, Paul Nolette and his wife, Pauline of Biddeford; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
