Nimfa L. Apanel, 96, lately of Warren, MI passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 12, 2016 at Sun Valley Senior Living Center, Troy, MI.
She is survived by Gloria (Nobile) Hope, sister, of Interlaken, NJ; Nimfa (Apanel) Szarka, daughter, of Toms River, NJ; Barbara (Apanel) Ekin, daughter & John Ekin, son-in-law, of Royal Oak, MI; Stephen Apanel, son, and his wife Penny of Whitehall, PA. Nimfa also leaves 5 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews in Michigan, Florida, Texas, Hawaii and New Jersey. Nimfa was preceded in death by Stephen, her husband of 57 years, in 2000.
As requested Nimfa and Stephen's cremated remains will be buried at sea off Sandy Hook, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Louise de Marillac Church, Warren, MI or the American Heart Association .
