Old Confederate Dies.

San Antonio, Tex., May 1. – Chas. H. Nimitz, a resident of Texas for sixty-five years and confederate veteran, died yesterday at Fredericksburg, 85 years old. At the outbreak of the civil war he raised the Gillespie County Rifles and commanded the company. He was a democrat and representative of the Eighty-ninth district in the Twenty-second legislature.
