Evelyn M. Donovan, 80, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2009, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Kentucky. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Mary Nicholas; two sisters, Almeda Moon and Carolyn Dendler; and a brother, Francis Nicholas. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul A. Donovan; a daughter and son-in-law, Myrna and R. Dale Hale, Wilmore, KY; two sons and daughters-in-law, Francis and Phyllis Donovan, Geneva, NY and Kevin and Lou Ann Donovan, Jackson, MI; seven grandchildren, Andrew Donovan, Amanda and Daniel Landis, Benjamin, Daniel, Hannah, Charity and Sarah Donovan; one sister, Elaine Nicholas, Westfield, IN; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Donovan was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in both Binghamton and Endicott. She has worked in both the K-Mart Store in Endicott and Target in Vestal.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main St., Endicott. Rev. Edward Lecates will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504
