BYRNE, Mrs. Mary Emma Newton of Houston. Age 92. Died 12/4/1972 Friday, in Houston where she had lived for many years. Services held (Sunday) from the Milano Baptist Church. Burial in family plot in Milano Cemetery. Dr. J.W. Bailey, pastor of the Calvert Baptist and her nephew, officiated. Green Funeral Home of Cameron in charge of arrangements.

She was BORN 9/28/1880 in Milano and lived in Houston for many years.

SURVIVORS: Son, Robert L. Byrne of Houston; 3 sisters, Mrs. James Baggett of Milano, Mrs. M.M. Arrington of Granger and Mrs. L.G. Butts of Thorndale. 7 grandchildren. 3 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
