Jean N. Johnson, age 79 of Chamblee, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday at the Fair Oaks United Methodist Church in Marietta with the Revs. Jan Ogelsby and Miguel Valez officiating. Burial will be in the Marietta City Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson retired from CNA Insurance Company after over 30 years of service. She was a member of the Fair Oaks United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: daughter, Brenda S. McCleskey of Jackson; son, Linwood Johnson of Atlanta; brothers, Harry Nesbitt of Dallas; Tommy Nesbitt of Cashiers, NC; sisters, Jane N. Buckalew of Marietta; Patricia N. O'Neal of Marietta; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Fair Oak United Methodist Church or Gideon's International. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P.M. Thursday at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna.
