She was married to C.E. Miller on September 9, 1914 at Harlan, Iowa. Eight children were born to this union, all of whom survive. They are; Mrs Leona (Raymon) Clark of Los Angeles; Mrs Lucille (John) Clark of Delano, California; Mrs Grace (Morris) Sommerville of Wyoming, Iowa; Mrs Helen (Kenneth) Jorgensen of Harlan; Clyde E. Nelson of Alpine, California; Dale K. Nelson of Alameda, California; Jack D. Nelso of Lexington, Nebraska and Dick L. Nelson of the United States Navy.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs Nels Miller of Harlan and Mrs W.O. Rhodes of Omaha, Nebraska and one brother, Earl Nelson of Harlan and 18 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the Bethel Baptist church with the Rev. S.P. Andersen in charge. Burial was in the Harlan cemetery. Pallbearers were Gene Miller, Robert Nelson, Charles Knudsen, Leland Miller, Vincent Nelson and Richard Knudsen.
