Alvin was born Feb. 11, 1918 in Naples, to George A. and Elizabeth Rasmussen Nash. Alvin obtained his education through the eighth grade in Naples. He then attended and graduated from Uintah High School.
He served in the Navy as a Radio Man on a LSM (Landing Ship Medium) during World War II. He completed his education at the University of Utah, graduating in Political Science. He later graduated with a Law degree from the University of Utah . In 1986 he was elected to the office of Uintah County Attorney. After serving one term he retired and moved to St. George with his brother Wendell Nash.
"You are gone. I will always desire your company. Wandering up and down mountain roads climbing coral colored spires, clamoring around Bryce Canyon will remain etched like a dream. I will always remember days at Little Brush Creek, swimming in irrigation ditches all of the places you and Wendell and the rest of us went. We have lost you, the voice, the joy, like an eternal babbling mountain brook in my mind. Your stories and laughter, that voice of full life is clearer to me now than my own pulse."
Alvin is lovingly survived by his brother, Wendell K. Nash; and sister Lola N. Ottley.
Interment in the Salem City Cemetery.
