Visitation for June Frances Hamann, 85, of Grant Park, will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hub Funeral Chapel in Grant Park, and from 9 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Grant Park, until the 10 a.m. funeral services. Pastor Doug Zimmerman will officiate.
Burial will be in the Momence Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Peter's United Church of Christ. She died Monday (April 9, 2012) at Franciscan St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights.
Mrs. Hamann was a retired supervisor from the Michael Leonard Seed Co. in Grant Park. She was born July 21, 1926, in Momence, the daughter of Ira and Martha Conrad Nagle. Her husband, Carl J. Hamann, whom she married Feb. 10, 1946, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Grant Park, passed away Aug. 8, 1996. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ and their hospitality committee. She was active on the Momence High School reunion committee, and was also involved in the establishment of Conrad Park in Momence.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Edie Hamann, of Florida; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Ruby Nagle, of Bourbonnais.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Randy Lee Hamann in 1975; one sister, Iris Howard; and two brothers, Bud Nagle and Connie Nagle.
