Dixie Myers Atwell 73 of Glasgow died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at her home. She was born in Earle, Arkansas the daughter of the late Martin Pickett Myers II and Elizabeth Ann Langston Myers. Dixie grew up in Greenville, MS and was a graduate of the Bowling Green Business College. She worked for over 25 years at the Barren County Child Support Office, serving the administration of four county attorneys. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Open Door Sunday school class, a member of the Chancel choir and Hand bell choir and the Kiononia Circle.

She is survived by 2 sons Steven Douglas Atwell and wife Melony of Bowling Green and Russell Alan Atwell and wife Tammy of Park City; 4 grandchildren Megan, Evan, Morgan and Tyler Atwell; a brother Martin Pickett Myers III of Greenville, MS and a sister Rebecca Carnes of Portland, TN.

Funeral services will be 11am Tuesday, May 13th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3pm Monday.
