Gloria J. Burnell, 83, of Edgewater, died June 7, 2014 at her home. Born in Attica, New York, she moved to this area in 1969 from Alexander, New York. Gloria was a member of Glencoe Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing cards, doing puzzles, and especially loved spending time with her family. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Ware of Edgewater; two grand-daughters, Jennifer (Steven) Smith of New Smyrna Beach, Danielle (John) Whitbeck of East Providence, Rhode Island; two great grandchildren, Caitlyn and Connor Carpenter of Rhode Island; three sisters, Vera (Bob) Adair, Pat (Duane) Marble, and Jeannie (Ralph) Robbins; and two brothers, Bud (Dorothy) Myers and Glenn (Joann) Myers. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Claude "Dave", a son, David Allan, her parents, Oma and Merrill Myers, Sr., and a sister, Marilyn Burford. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14, at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater, with Pastor Barry Campbell, Glencoe Baptist Church, officiating.
