Son of the late Harry Myers, Sr., and Gladys Dunlap Myers, he was preceded in death by a sister, Viola Boswell, and by brothers, Loren Myers and Richard Myers. He was a retired general contractor. He was survived by his wife, Nancy Myers; daughteers, Kathy "Cindy" Taylor (Tim) and Pam Tudor (Rick); sons, Mary Myers (Jinny) and Jason Myers (Kim); grandchildren, Dustin Treadwell, Emily Treadwell Boyle, Mary Kathryn Saliba, Layne Saliba, Chloe Myers and Tatum Myers; sisters, Clara Moody, Iola Smith, Faye Hill and Norma Hicks; brothers, Harry Myers, Jr., and Ronnie Myers; and an extended family of relatives and friends. His funeral was held on July 9, 2014, with The Rev. Dr. Tom Smiley and The Rev. Dr. Jerry Gill officiating.
