Mrs. Armentrout was born Jan. 20, 1916, in Portland. Her maiden name was Myers. She graduated from St. Helens Hall. After earning a degree from the University of Oregon, she was a bacteriology lab technician for the Oregon State Board of Health, taught biology and English at St. Helens Hall, and was a hematology research assistant at the University of Oregon Medical School. She was a homemaker and in the 1950s organized a campaign for polio shots through the Wilson High School PTA. In 1940, she married Dr. Herbert L.
Survivors include her husband; sons, John of Dallas, Texas, Richard of West Linn and Thomas of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; brother, Gordon Myers of Portland; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
