Son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Myers. Came to Springfield when 5 years old, in 1865 and his father established his business there. He was active in many civic and fraternal organizations and a leading member of Temple B'rith Sholom, the Elks, and the Odd Fellows. He was one of the organizers of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce.
He was survived by his wife Florence and three sons; brother Louis M. Myers and sister Mrs. Jules Straus. Funeral services at the Temple B'rith Sholem and burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery. - IL State Journal, Springfield, IL, 3-12-1941
