The Lord called Sylvia Murphy Amick home on Thursday June 6, 2013.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Forbis & Dick North Elm Street Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her mother Gladys Case Murphy and her father Paul Murphy. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James D. Amick, previous owner of Amick heating and Air conditioning of Oak Ridge. she is also survived by her son Randall Wilson and wife Beth of Greensboro, grandchildren, Nicholas Wilson and Hannah Wilson of West Palm Beach, Fl. and a bother, Wayne Murphy of Vancouver, WA. Nieces, April Murphy and Angela Kent of CA.
Sylvia was an avid gardener and active member of Oak Level Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405 or Oak Level Baptist Church, 1569 Oak Level Church Road, Stokesdale, NC 27357.
The Family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 PM the day of the service at the Funeral Home.
