Helen had worked at Gustafson Optical, Allburn Florist, and the Boston Store. She was active in the Saint Vincent Hospital Auxiliary and St. Peter's Cathedral. She enjoyed antiques and playing tennis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward G. Bricker, in 2004; a son, Edward Bricker, Jr., in 1990; and two brothers, Hoyle Murphy and [Robert] Weldon Murphy.
Helen is survived by a daughter, Melanie Bricker, husband Thomas Fetzer of Franklinville, N.Y.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Sam Murphy of Grapeland, Texas; and a sister Christine Gray of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews; and a daughter-in-law, Alene Barnes.
