Murphy (birthplace not reported) served in Company i, 1st Regiment, Georgia Infantry, CSA (age and cause of death not reported) and buried November 25, 1863 (from 4th quarter, 1863 report of Sexton, presented January 4, 1863; the sexton's name was William H. Harris). John H. Martin's history of Columbus, Volume 2, p. 165, says T. Murphy (soldier).
