Colonel Muller graduated from the U. S. Military Academy at West Point in 1901. After his graduation he was sent to Cuba and the Philippine Islands. He was in Mexico in 1916 with General Pershing to settle the Pancho Villa revolution and later was made commandant of Texas A&M College. He was in France during World War I. For the last six years of his life Colonel Muller was in charge of reserves at St. Louis. He was 64 when he died while driving to his office. (His military service number was O-001354.)

He was survived by his mother, Mrs. Minna Muller of Dallas; his wife; two sons, Frank Muller and C. H. Muller Jr. of St. Louis; two sisters; and three brothers.
