Catherine J. Fern, 63, resident of 93 East Seneca street, died early Sunday morning in the Oswego Hospital.
She was born in Oswego, daughter of the late James and Anna King Muldoon and was a life long resident. She was the widow of James P. Fern who died in 1961.
Mrs. Fern had been a teller in the Oswego branch of Lincoln Bank from the time it opened in Oswego until her retirement about two years ago. For many years she was active in politics in Oswego and served many terms as Democratic Committeeman from the Second Ward. She was a communicant of St. Paul's church.
She is survived by one son, James F. Fern, Oswego; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Barbara) Battoni, Rochester and Mrs. Roy (Mary) McCrobie, Oswego and nine grandchildren; also by a sister, Mrs. Ann Gorman, Saratoga Springs, NY.
Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.
