Matilda married second to George E. Dunn (1852-1946) on 18 Jul 1909. She helped raise his 4 younger children - Ina, William, Louise, and Arley G. Dunn.
Matilda's grandson, Walter Harold Moore remembers sleeping in her log cabin on a mattress filled with corn shucks near Hill City in Hood County. The log cabin has been moved to Granbury, TX for display. The Granbury News printed on May 18, 1928 "Mrs. George Dunn is not improving very fast", and on May 25, "W. E. Dunn and family are at Tolar visiting his Mother, who is ill."
