May Bell King Dies.
Mrs. May Bell King, 83, died early this morning at the White Hall Nursing Home in Winfield following a lengthy illness.
She was born May 14, 1886 at Cheney, Neb., to John C. Morton and Ellen Talbot Morton.
She came to Arkansas City in 1900, traveling here from Nebraska in a covered wagon.
She is survived by one son, Otto R. King, Lacygne, Kan., one brother, Joy S. Morton, 1310 North Fifth street, three granddaughters in the Kansas city area and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Riverview cemetery with Rev. Lewis McPherren officiating. The casket will remain open at Grant-Elder Funeral Home Sunday afternoon and evening.
