BRIDGEWATER - Lois E. (Morse-Shaw) Antworth, 83, graduated to glory July 8, 2008. She was born April 4, 1925, in Bridgewater, the daughter of Joshua and Etta (Sharp) Morse. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. She received her nurse's aid certification at age 54 and worked at Madigan Estates, Houlton. She spent more than 40 years as a Sunday school teacher and dedicated ministry member of Full Gospel Assembly. Lois spent nearly a decade as a jail ministry member and women's speaker in Putnam County, Fla. Lois' excellent spirit, ready smile and generous heart were particularly mentioned by her caregiver, Rose Clark and the nurses of Hospice of Aroostook. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Antworth; a son, Brian Shaw; three daughters, Rebecca Shaw, Deborah Mason and Valerie Giberson; grandchildren, Michael and Monica Shaw, Stacy Hix, Troy and Mark Whidtfeldt, Electa Mason, Christine Barker and Lisa Breen; six great-grand-children, five step-grandchildren; stepchildren, Roger Antworth, Sharon Miskin and Debbie Harris; her siblings are, Leota Roberts and Merlin Morse; multiple cousins, nieces and nephews. Her son, James T. Shaw, predeceased her. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Full Gospel Assembly, Bridgewater, with the Rev. Robert Amuzini and Rev. Gerald Drost officiating. Relatives and friends may call noon Saturday until time of service at the church. Interment will be at Smith Cemetery, Bridgewater. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan Funeral Home, Mars Hill.
