Emily McFarland Morrison, was the daughter of Rev. James Morrison and Frances Brown Morrison. She married Alexander Joseph Bondurant, in 1859 at Rockbridge Baths, VA. Her first cousin, General Stonewall Jackson was best man at Emily's wedding to Alexander, and General Robert E Lee attended.

On the 1860 Dist. 1, Buckingham Co., VA census, I found farmer Thom M Bondurant, 63, with $250 K in real estate and $19,150 in personal property; Marita L Bondurant, 66; Alexa J Bondurant, 25; Emma Bondurant, 21 and law student George P Bondurant, 21, plus managers Wm H Allen, 28 and Danie Huddleston, 24

On the 1870 Rockfish, Nelson Co., VA census, I found farmer A J Bondurant, 34 with $30K in real estate and $3,209 in personal property; Emily M, 33; Alexander L, 5 and Fannie B, 3, all VA born.

On the 1880 James River, Buckingham Co., VA census, I found farmer A. J. Bondurant, 44; wife Emma Bondurant, 43; sons or daughters: Mag. Bondurant, 9; Jula Bondurant, 7; Sam Bondurant, 6; George Bondurant, 5 and Dabney Bondurant, 1, plus 2 servants, all VA born.

Daughter Louisa (Lulu) Marcia Bondurant (1872 - 5 Mar 1951) married Dr. Wm Groce Harrison, Sr. (1871 - 28 Jul 1955), the son of Dr. Jno Tinsley Harrison and Sarah Simmons Groce Harrison, on 16 Aug 1896 in Auburn, AL.

A book by James A Pitman Jr., M.D., called Tinsley R Harrison, M.D., Teacher of Medicine, has a lot of photos and data on the family (Newsouth Books, Montgomery, AL, 2015).

Cousin of General Jackson Dies in Ala. BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Feb. 13.= (By A.P.) -Mrs. Emily Morrison Bondurant, member of an old Virigina (sic) family and first cousin o General “Stonewall” Jackson, died last night at the residence of her daughter Mrs. W. G. Harrison here. She was in her 90th year. General Jackosn (sic) was best man at the wedding of Emily Morrison to Alexander J. Bondurant in 1859 at Rockbridge Batch (sic), Va., and General Robert E Lee was among the wedding guests. Her obit was in the 13 Feb 1926 issue of the Monroe News Star, Monroe, LA (note: spelled incorrectly, Virginia, Jackson and Baths).
