Sue was blessed to live in a home that was once only a dream for her as a young woman. Having originally purchased the home next door to her dream house, Sue worked hard for many years and eventually saw her dream come true as she bought the big white house on Salem St. This is where she raised her family and happily lived out her last days.
Sue was employed at the Chico Elks Lodge for 43 years as the head chef, where she graciously served and shared her culinary gift with others. She was proud to be the very first female inducted into the Chico Elk's Lodge BPOE423. Sue was also a member of the Chico Eagles Auxiliary 218. Sue enjoyed playing Bingo and she could 'dob' with the best of them.
In 2009, along with her daughter, Sue was baptized into the family of God. It is a delight to know that we will enjoy her presence once again when our Creator calls us to reunite.
Sue is survived by a son, Sammy of Chico; daughter, Suzanne Miller of Chico; sister-in-law, Nell Hanna of Chico; niece, Paula Pembroke (Mike) of Chico; grandchildren, Scott Miller (Shawna) of Corning, Ryan Miller of Chico, Shon Agan of Chico, Kelly Cook (Phil) of Paradise, Kim West (Mark) of Chico; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam in 2001.
