Mrs. McKinney had moved to Lafayette from Headlee near Monticello in 1960. She was a retired J.C. Penney's salesperson, and was a member of Brown Street United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis (Mrs. Richard) Benge of Lafayette; four sons, Jerry McKinney of Elkhart, Leon McKinney, Loren McKinney, both of Lafayette, and Maurice McKinney of Star City; a brother, Raymond Morris of Brookston; 14 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 17 step-great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
