Frances L. Brewer, 91, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Interment to follow in Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: One hour prior to service at the funeral home. Frances was born on Dec. 1, 1921, in Fort Worth to Mather and Mabel Morrison. She was a graduate of both Texas Wesleyan and Texas Christian universities. Frances began working for the Weather Bureau in Little Rock during the early 1940s. Later, she worked in the Fort Worth ISD as an English teacher for 38 years. Upon retirement, Frances took pride in volunteering at the polls during early voting sessions. She loved life and her family with all of her heart. Frances was preceded in passing by her parents; sisters, Helen Ruth Morrison and Nelda Morrison Smith; brothers-in-law, Dub Smith and Arthur Smith; nephew, Joe Cleveland Smith; and niece, Lauren Haley Smith. Survivors: Son, Jim Brewer and his wife, Liz; daughter, Laurie Stovall and her husband, Jimmy; sister, Dot Smith; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
