Esther June Morlan Close 83, of Indianapolis, passed away August 22, 2010. She was born on April 4, 1927 in Cayuga, IN to the late James F. and Ruby Marie Murdock. She was a homemaker and loving mother. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 24 from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Irving Hill Chapel, 5377 E. Washington St. Esther is survived by son, Henry Morlan (Beth Adams); daughter, Tina M. Smith (Jeff Henry); grandchildren, Ronald, John, Ashley Smith; great-grandchildren, Ronnie, Zachary, Haidyn, Elijah, Bradley and Corbin; sisters, Betty Pierson, Mary Leiter, Hester Neuman, Violet Rollins and Helen Murdock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrell E. "Duke" Morlan and 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
