LA MOTTE, Iowa -- Jennifer Marie (Johannsen) Morgan, 47, of La Motte, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque, after a brief illness.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at Salem Lutheran Church, Andrew, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial of the cremated remains will be in Andrew Cemetery, Andrew. Lahey Funeral & Cremation Services, Maquoketa, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on Feb. 17, 1961, in Moline, Ill., daughter of Thomas and Sharon (Williams) Morgan. She married Ronald Johannsen on Sept. 17, 1983, in Silvis, Ill.
She was a registered nurse at Jackson County Regional Health Center, Maquoketa, from 1987 until October 2007.
Jennifer took pride in her family, friends and work. She devoted herself to taking care of others, always putting their well-being before her own.
She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Andrew, president of WELCA, vice president of the Women's Bowling League in Maquoketa, and a member of the Andrew Parent Teacher Association and Booster Club. She also was an avid bowler and volunteered with many different sports programs.
Surviving are three children, Wesley Ray Johannsen, of Dubuque, Megan Marie Johannsen and Reid Thomas Johannsen, both of La Motte; and three sisters, Julie (Chris) Sheets, Jelena (Doug) Clement and Joline Morgan, all of Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
