Minnie Belle Balthrop, age 87, of Whites Creek, died May 31, 2007, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 4, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Austin and Bell Funeral Home in Springfield, with Bro. Toby Johnson officiating.
Interment followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Balthrop was born April 11, 1920, in Clay County, to Tom and Hester Smith Moredock.
She worked as a homemaker and was a member of Alta Loma Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Grady Dorris Balthrop.
She is survived by sons, Randy (Kathy) Haley of Greenbrier, and Glenn (Mary Lou) Kane of Whites Creek; daughter, Linda (Jerry) Brothers of Niceville, Fla.; grandchildren, Robert Kane, Jeffrey Kane, Dustin Brothers, Brian Haley, and Brad Haley.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home, Springfield, was in charge of arrangements.
