She was the daughter of the late Lucius Toll Moore and Lavada Lanning Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Moore.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Earl E. "Mike" Avey; three daughters, Vickie Cave, of Martinsburg, Brenda Bowers, of Hedgesville,and DeAnna Avey-Motikeit, of Lake Arrowhead California.
