ELLY G. MOORE, daughter of Erich J. and Ida Reichelt, was born March 17, 1925, in Breig Germany and went to her eternal rest on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-six years. After surviving the terrors associated with World War II, Elly immigrated to Great Britain where she met Clifford. They were united in marriage on December 15, 1954 in London, England. Prior to Elly's passing, they celebrated fifty-six years of love and laughter together. After many moves, due to Clifford's military service, they settled in Richland, Missouri, in 1975, where they started their family and raised their two children. They made many friends through the years and each friendship was very special to Elly. Elly was a devoted homemaker and mother. She was dedicated to providing a warm and welcoming environment for her husband and children to come home to. When she wasn't tending to the upkeep of the home, Elly enjoyed gardening, watching soap operas and playing BINGO. She was also an active lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV.) However, nothing compared to the time spent and memories made with her precious family.
She is survived by her husband Clifford of the home; one son, Thomas M. Moore and his wife April of St. Louis, Missouri; one daughter, Karen Ann Moore of Tea Ticket, Massachusetts; one brother, Manfried Kohler of Wuppertal, Germany; one sister, Helga Ronitz, also of Germany; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Elly was preceded in death by her parents. Elly was a wonderful wife, doting mother, loving grandmother, treasured sister and loyal friend. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her will miss her beautiful smile, but cherish every memory. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
