CRUTCHFIELD, Johnnie JOHNNIE MOORE CRUTCHFIELD Johnnie Moore Crutchfield of Atlanta, Georgia died peacefully at the age of 90 on December 29, 2013. She was born November 17, 1923 and graduated from Girls High School in Atlanta. She graduated from Georgia State University obtaining her Bachelors in Sociology and her Masters in Counseling and Educational Psychology. Johnnie retired from Georgia State University after 27 years as Associate Dean of Admissions in 1990. She met her last husband Paul W. Crutchfield shortly after retiring from Georgia State. Johnnie survived three husbands. She is survived by two sons, Michael Lewis and his husband Randolph Kline of Atlanta, Christopher Lewis of Atlanta, as well as her daughter Elizabeth Lewis Haley and her husband David of McDonough, Georgia. She is also survived by two grandsons, Channing Lewis and Jonathan Haley, four granddaughters: Anna, Rachel, and Esmeralda Lewis, and Erin Haley and two great grandsons: Issac and Silas Scott. She was preceded in death by her son Richard Lewis; her two brothers, James Richard Moore Jr, and John Grambling Moore; her sister Georgie Elizabeth Booker. She is survived by sisters Peck Garland of Atlanta and Jane White of Smyrna, Georgia. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014. The family will receive friends at 1:00pm and memorial services will begin at 2:00pm. Services will be held at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, Sandy Springs, Georgia. Burial will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery next to her interred husband Paul Crutchfield. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be sent to Hospice Atlanta.
