Teresa Moore Bonk, 64, of Elizabeth City, NC went home to Jesus on Friday, November 4, 2016 with her loving husband of 30 years, John Anthony Bonk, by her side. She was born on February 29,1952 in Elizabeth City, NC. Teresa was a member Corinth Baptist Church and served her beloved country as a civil service employee. Her family is immensely proud of her accomplishments. She and her husband, John, volunteered their time as a team in several churches they were members of, as well as feeding the homeless. She loved flowers, but especially trees and birds, as well as many trips to the Outer Banks over the years for her love of the beach. John was the love of her life and he took loving care of her in their home until her final journey.

Besides her husband, Teresa is survived by her mother, Laura Anita Meads Moore Hummer (Bob) of Elizabeth City, NC, a brother, Michael Moore (Sherri) of Camden, NC, a nephew, Michael Moore Jr of Camden, NC and a niece, Hollie Crowson (Bryan) of Elizabeth City, NC. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Linwood Moore, her grandparents whom dearly adored her, Elwood and Selma Ritchie, and maternal great grandmother, Laura Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at 1:00pm in Corinth Baptist Church by Rev. Tyrone Dillard. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the St. Jude Children Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org. The family will receive friends and relatives at Twiford Funeral Home, Church St, Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:30pm and at other times at their residence, 1410 N.
